Our students range from pre-school children to adults. Contracts are available for 6 months or 1 year.
Job Title: Teaching Consultant
Job Location: Guangzhou, Zhuhai and other small to medium sized cities may be arranged.
Monthly Base Pay: Ranging from 10,000RMB to 13,000RMB (approximately 1,568USD to 2,038USD) without accommodation, to 8,500RMB to 11,500RMB (1,333USD to 1,803USD) with employer provided accommodation or depending on teaching experience and qualifications.
Hours/Week: 25-40 (maximum 25 teaching hours in class). Any teaching hours over 25 are paid at an overtime rate of 100RMB (approximately 15.6USD) per hour. There are 2 days off per week.
Accommodation: Western style and fully furnished. Employees pay for utility and maintenance bills.
Holidays: All public holidays in China.
Airfare Allowance: 4000RMB (about 627USD) reimbursement paid at completion of 1 year contract.
Visa: We could offer proper work visa. Applicants pay for visa application fee.
Health Insurance: Available to purchase through us.
Start Date: Anytime that is convenient for you.
On-the-job training and teaching materials will be provided.
Chinese teaching assistant will assist in each class therefore no need to speak Chinese.
Chinese assistant will be arranged for airport pick up and help to settle down in Guangzhou.
Assistance to arrange Chinese language courses if needed.
Native or near native English Speakers. Experience in teaching preferred but not essential. Punctual and responsible with a sound work ethic. We require individuals who are energetic and enthusiastic. No criminal record.
As a teaching consultant, your duties include lesson planning and classroom teaching. You'll be responsible for the welfare and wellbeing of your students during class time and office hours. You may also be required to host events and represent your school publicly. This could include Christmas and Halloween parties, spelling bees, public demo lessons and even birthday celebrations for the students.
Our recruitment procedure is first having a face-to-face chat so that we can get to know you better and answer any questions you have regarding teaching and living in China.
Then we need a 10 minutes teaching video from you to demonstrate that you understand the basic lesson structure. You can do the video on your own, you don’t have to teach real students. We prefer that you upload it to YouTube so that we can easily access it (Don’t worry, you can set the video to private so only we see it).
Once you’ve secured a position with us, guidance will be provided to help you through the Chinese visa application process. Once you’ve got your visa, you’re all set to go. Simply notify us about your arrival time in China and we’ll pick you up, take you to your accommodation and provide you with some extra training to prepare you for your future duties.
